Allison Sarofim had her annual Halloween party with Japanese anime being this years theme. This had to be the one of the most unique parties I have ever been asked to do makeup for. Here are a few pictures of the anime "eyes" and characters that were at the party.
As an artist, I like to sharpen my skills with a continuous learning process and learning from the best. About 3 weeks ago, I started airbrushing my first T-Shirt with my mentor John Maurad. I picked one of my favorite pictures and characters in comics painted by Alex Ross. This is all a learning experience and have more weeks to come before I can complete the project. Stay tuned for more weekly updates.
Ashley (aka Marie) was a great model and was patient enough to sit with me for 5 hours to do these wings. These freehand Angel Wings were for a fun and crazy photo shoot requested by a stylist friend, Lori Seigler. Stay tuned for further updates with the photos.
My web-site is in the process of an update. New photos, New art, New bio and an additional page, LINKS!
I also have a new postcard designed by artist Edwin Vazkez. If you wish to receive one and like to be added to my mailing list email me at jenai@jenaichin.com
The hot new purple Pomegranate and Acai berry flavored vodka was launched this past week. At the event with my crew, we painted these 3 lovely ladies with the new infused drink combinations. 1 of the girls, my good friend Caitlin (the blonde bombshell) was even painted during the event as the main show! Check out this drunken purple haze fantasy.
This is a tattoo design that I did for Edwin Vazkez's brother Donny. He gave it to me to try it out and see if he liked it. I think he is going to get the permanent one.
The 11th annual Tattoo Convention came to the Roseland Ballroom in NYC for 3 days. The convention was filled with master tattoo artists, competitions, books and great original art work. I go to many body art events and conventions through out the year but this was one of the best and most inspiring. I managed to pick up a tattoo book from Japan that I fell in love with and almost had to donate a kidney to buy. Check out some of the great tattoos that were on display at the convention.
Temptu Japan came to Temptu NYC to get some helpful tips in our airbrush makeup and body art workshop. Teaching the Japanese students was a pleasure even with the challenge of the language barrier. Darren Pitilli was a great model and here is the end result from the workshop.
I had all these great tattoos that I decided to use for a fun photo shoot with my friend Thomas Pitilli These are some of my most favorite tattoos I've done. Rock on Tom!
The April 28th issue of New York Magazine is out featuring some fancy foot work by me and my good friend John Maurad, in the article "You Walk Wrong". Temptu sent out this dynamic duo out to do the job. All of the "shoes" are completely painted. Crazy, huh?
Load up on drugs, kill your friends, it's fun to lose and to offend, A little joy, self absorbed, a dirty word, hello, hello, hello, how, With the lights gone it's less dangerous, Here we are now irritate us....

This client asked for a temporary tattoo of a design he was thinking about getting done permanently. Since it was such a large and very elaborate design, I think it was a good idea for him to try living with the tattoo before he "married" it. My motto is "Think Before You Ink"!
'Make Me A Supermodel'? That's right, my tattoo art has stamped the models of the hit Bravo network t.v. show. Episode 11 marked the beginning of the end for the 4 remaining models Ben, Holly, Perry and Ronnie. My designs are featured in the final catwalk at the end of the show. A guest appearance by Christian, winner of 'Project Runway' , was a delightful surprise .
Special Thanks to Kenny Ho, Temptu and Assistants Fredrick Sanders, Erica Nese and Jess Toth.
I have a full page interview in the fierce European magazine Rouge! The interview can be found on page 160 with a 5 page spread of my photo shoot with Mike Ruiz. To read, visit my website, jenaichin.com.
The new issue of ESPN Magazine has hit magazine shelves and book stores on January 28th. This weeks cover and articles are featuring stories about sports fans and all the crazy things they do for the teams they love. My body painting is displayed on the bare-chested crazed fans on the front cover of the magazine. A group of us went out to Giants Stadium a week before Super Bowl XLII (42) and braved the bitter cold for this fun photo shoot. These guys were so cold but in such good spirits and really toughed out the harsh winds that blew thru. I was surprised when the photographer and chief editor of the magazine asked me to join the shoot as one of the fans. See if you can spot me on the cover!
